Recently, a delegation led by Professor Chen Ailiang, Vice Dean of the National Institute of Excellence Engineers at Central South University(CSU), and Associate Professor Sun Fenglong, along with doctoral and master's students, visited Ximei Resources. Key leadership from Ximei, including Vice President Huang Jieli, Ximei Guangdong General Manager Liang Weihua, and Deputy General Manager Wang Minghong, attended the session alongside core technical staff. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on core topics such as technological innovation in the tantalum-niobium industry and the joint cultivation of high-level talent, collectively drafting a new blueprint for school-enterprise cooperation.

Ximei Resources Vice President Huang Jieli warmly reflected on the profound connection between the company and CSU. The company’s founder, Mr. Wu Lijue, is a distinguished 1984 alumnus of CSU. Having dedicated decades to the tantalum and niobium industry, he has led the enterprise to become a global leader. Currently, CSU alumni are integrated across the company’s management, R&D, marketing, and procurement sectors, forming the backbone of its development.

She specifically noted that the previously collaborated "Yangfan Project" has been successfully implemented. Under the joint mentorship of Professor Chen Ailiang and the company’s Professor Yang Shaohua, researchers at the Post-Doctoral Research Station are thriving, serving as a model for collaborative talent development.

As a premier academic institution in mineral processing and powder metallurgy, Central South University is often hailed as the "Whampoa Military Academy" of the industry, boasting significant achievements in R&D and talent cultivation. Professor Chen Ailiang’s team brings extensive experience in metallurgical technology, blending solid theoretical foundations with rich industrial practice.

During the exchange, Professor Chen introduced the development philosophy of the National Institute of Excellence Engineers, emphasizing a problem-solving approach to complex engineering challenges. The institute is dedicated to training interdisciplinary talent capable of both technical innovation and practical engineering. Building on their long-standing partnership, Ximei Resources and CSU plan to:Jointly apply for provincial and national-level research projects, deepen collaborative innovation in scientific research, and accelerate the transformation of technical achievements into industrial applications.

This exchange is a vivid demonstration of Ximei Resources’ strategic positioning: "Specialization, Integration, Scale, Premiumization, Internationalization, and Capitalization." It marks another milestone in the complementary and coordinated development between the two entities. Moving forward, both parties will use technical cooperation as a bond and talent cultivation as a pillar to tackle technical bottlenecks and pursue green process innovation, jointly driving the industry toward a new stage of high-quality development.
